For the City Times

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Kari Schwingle has joined the staff at the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce, as the new engagement director.

In this role, Schwingle will recruit new investors to the chamber and engage current investors to grow, network, and develop connections. She will also be managing volunteers for the organization.

“Having spent the last two years leading my Kwik Trip team in Wisconsin Rapids, I was able to start making professional connections and learn about the area. I fell in love with the community spirit and was able to meet some amazing people. I adore the Chamber’s passion, purpose, and ability to build the community up. I am truly honored and proud to be a part of that movement this year, and for many years to come,” stated Schwingle.

Schwingle comes to the chamber with 10 years of experience in retail management. Most recently, Schwingle worked as a Kwik Trip store manager in Wisconsin Rapids. There, she led presentations, training, event planning, operations, and sales.

In addition to her retail management experience, Schwingle has a bachelor’s degree in speech communications with an emphasis on professional and organizational communications from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Schwingle is a Minnesota native that has lived in the area for seven years, with her husband and three children.

“Kari is an outstanding addition to the Heart of Wisconsin Team. Not only will she bring a higher level of focus on our investors, but also grow awareness of the chamber’s initiatives,” commented President Angel Whitehead.
