Mid-State to host district SkillsUSA competition

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Mid-State Technical College will host the SkillsUSA District 2 competition for middle and high school students on its Wisconsin Rapids Campus on Dec. 12, 4-7:45 p.m.

The event will feature 15 different skill competitions, from both technical skills and leadership skills, and is expected to draw 130 competing students plus advisors. District 2 includes students from 14 high schools in Portage, Wood, and Marathon counties.

SkillsUSA is a national membership association serving high school, college, and middle school students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical, and skilled service occupations.
