Local wrestlers place at Bi-State Classic

LA CROSSE – Two wrestlers from Nekoosa/Assumption’s wrestling team placed at the annual Bi-State Classic wrestling tournament held Dec. 27-28, at the La Crosse Center in La Crosse.
Nathan Gellerup (12-6) wrestled at 113 pounds for Nekoosa/Assumption and made it to the podium finishing in eighth place.

Teammate, Blaze Thurber (14-4), who wrestles at 120 for the team, also finished the weekend in eighth place.
Nekoosa/Assumption wrestles again on Jan. 9 at Wild Rose High School.
