ADAMS COUNTY – The seven people injured last month in an Adams County crash between a semi and a passenger van were high school students from Wauwatosa, including five members of a swim team.
On Dec. 22, shortly after 8 p.m., the Adams County Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene of a two vehicle crash at the State Highway 21 and County Road Z intersection, in the township of Strongs Prairie.
According to officials, the van carrying seven people was headed northbound on County Highway Z when it failed to stop at the State Highway 21 intersection. The vehicle went through the intersection and was struck by a westbound semi-truck. Both vehicles left the roadway and came to rest in a field northwest of the intersection.
Five individuals were transported by air ambulance and two were transported by ground.
