Pittsville boys defeat Port Edwards

PITTSVILLE – The Pittsville boys basketball defeated conference rival, Port Edwards, 63-48, as the Panthers hosted the Central Wisconsin conference game on Jan. 9.

Pittsville led at the half, with a score of 33-22.

The Blackhawks never came back during the second half but did add 26 more points. The Panthers stayed on top to finish the game 63-48.

The Panthers were led by Matthew Kissner, with 23 points; Landyn Wayerski, with 13; and Jordan Denniston added 12. Kissner and Wayerski each brought down eight rebounds for Pittsville as well.

No stats were available for Port Edwards.

Port Edwards will host Wautoma on Jan. 13, game time is 7:15 p.m. Pittsville will face Northland Lutheran on the road on Jan. 14, with a 7:30 p.m. start time.
