The Wood County Sheriff's Department recently donated $500 to the Aspirus UW Cancer Center’s Cancer Patient Fund, to be used to help patients who need financial assistance with costs related to their treatment. The Sheriff’s Department raised the funds by selling uniform patches and pins with a special design; the department sold out of 100 pins and 250 patches. Pictured from left are Captain Quentin Ellis, Aspirus Manager Lori Slattery, and Sheriff Shawn Becker. Submitted photo.
