Assumption capitalizes on Pacelli turnovers

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Assumption girls basketball hosted Pacelli in a nonconference matchup on Jan. 18 and walked away with a win after capitalizing on turnovers.

Pacelli gave Assumption a fight during the first half, and headed into halftime only down 33-27. The second half Assumption proved too much for the Cardinals. Assumption capitalized on the 19 Pacelli turnovers Pacelli and won 69-39.

Natalie Wiesenbeck was high scorer for the Royals with 19 points. Jessie Grundhoffer scored 15 and Kendall Schmidt hit three 3-pointers to help her to 14 points for the night.

Pacelli was lead by Sami Miller and Sarah Mueller, who each scored 13 points for the Cardinals.

Pacelli will host Rosholt on Jan. 21 at 7:30 p.m. Assumption plays at Edgar on Jan. 20 at 7: 15 p.m.
