Cards top Royals in OT

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Pacelli Cardinals stopped a three-game losing streak with a thrilling 57-52 overtime win over the Assumption Royals on Jan. 19 in Wisconsin Rapids.
Stevens Point grabbed a 26-21 halftime lead, but the Royals used a 27-22 second half to tie the game at the end of regulation. Pacelli then outscored Assumption 9-4 in the overtime period to get the win.

The Cardinals were led by Weston Peplinski with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Mason Schlagenhaft added 12 points and seven rebounds. Nick Hartman also grabbed 11 rebounds.
