For the City Times

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wood County Parks & Forestry Department announced that more Wood County Snowmobile Trails are open.

The Rudolph River Rovers and the Vesper Snow Drifters will open their trail on Jan. 22 at 3 p.m. The Vesper trail going to Blenker will remain closed due to open water.  Trail closed signs are posted at intersections.

Bakerville Sno Rovers opened on Jan. 18 and are in excellent condition. Auburndale Nite Owls opened on Jan. 20.

Sunset Drifters will open once they receive permission from one landowner.

Yellow River Riders and Kellner Knights are closed.

Riders may encounter trail reroutes and rough, icy patches and thin portions of trail in the fields.

Wood County snowmobile trails are subject to periodic and unexpected closures.

For updates on recent closures or openings, or if you have any questions, contact the Parks & Forestry Office at 715-421-8422 or parks@co.wood.wi.us, or find them on Instagram or Facebook.
