First half success key to Rapids win

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln boys basketball team traveled to Appleton West on Jan. 21 for a nonconference game that was won due to Lincoln’s success in the first half.
The first half was dominated by Rapids and they had a 22-12 lead at the end of the first 18 minutes. Appleton West was able to keep pace with Rapids in the second half where they each scored 40 points. Rapids would win the game 62-52.
Grant Flory was high scorer for the night, leading Lincoln with 26 points. Nathan Krommenakker added 12 points of his own.
Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln’s record improved to 4-9. They are 1-4 in Wisconsin Valley Conference action.
Wisconsin Rapids will host Wausau West on Jan. 24 at 7:15 p.m.
