Wild Rose too much for Port Edwards

PORT EDWARDS – The Port Edwards girls basketball team hosted Wild Rose, on Jan. 23, and the conference rival proved to be too much for the Blackhawks.

After a slow scoring start to the game, Wild Rose found their groove and quickly took a lead. At the half, Wild Rose led 32-10. After a low scoring second half by Port Edwards, Wild Rose claimed the victory, 58-15.

Port Edward’s fell to 1-7 in Central Wisconsin South conference play and 1-13 overall. After the win, Wild Rose sat at 6-0 in the conference and 11-2 overall.

Port Edwards will next face Northland Lutheran on the road on Jan. 28.
