WRCT opens winter production with classic comedy
For the City Times
WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre (WRCT) opens their winter production on Feb. 14, with the classic comedy “Heaven Can Wait,” written by Harry Segall and directed by Gregory Konz-Krzyminski.
The comedy, written in 1938, was an “entertainment antidote” to the Great Depression, in which an up and coming prizefighter, a prominent businessman, an unscrupulous wife, the businessman’s treacherous secretary, a desperate daughter who will do anything to save her father, and a colorful fight manager are central to a story that is part comedy, part drama, part soap opera, part supernatural, and fun.
Performances will be held Feb. 14, 15, 20, 21, and 22, at 7:30 p.m., and Feb. 16 & 23, at 2 p.m. in the mainstage theatre at Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre, 220 Third Ave. South No. 6, Wisconsin Rapids.
Tickets can be purchased at the WRCT box office, online at www.wrctheatre.org, or by calling 715-421-0435.
