Marshfield and Rapids hoops split games

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln hosted Wisconsin Valley Conference rivals Marshfield Tigers on Jan. 28, where the boys and girls basketball teams split wins.
The boys basketball teams took the court first and Wisconsin Rapids held the lead at halftime, 23-18. The second half got exciting and came down to the final moments where Wisconsin Rapids finished with the win, 56-54.
Grant Flory led Rapids with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Nathan Krommenakker added 12 points for his team.
Marshfield was lead by Joey Goettl and Anthony Posteluk, both scoring 13 points for the Tigers. Bennett Koehn added 10 more for Marshfield.
The Rapids and Marshfield girls followed the boys. Marshfield had a 33-26 lead at the half, and kept up their momentum into the second half where they beat Rapids, 61-56.
Marshfield was led by Kaydee Johnson, who scored 16 points, and Maddie Michaelis, who scored 14.
No stats were available for Wisconsin Rapids.
