WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings took night one against the Steele County Blades in a 5-1 win on Feb. 28, at South Wood County Recreation Center.

Pat McCoy, Reece McDonald, and Logan Harris each found the back of the net once while Nathan Bottles claimed two goals. D-pair, Jordan Stear and Haralds Jirgens each claimed three assists, as Max Moore, Cole Creger, Jered Stevenson and goalie Martin Server each claimed one.

The Riverkings outshot the Blades 46-14, as Matt Server kept the net in order.

They will face the Blades again on Feb. 29, with the advancement to round two of the playoffs on the line.
