Letter to the Editor: Local dentist speaks on mayoral candidate

Dear editor,

Having known Zach for many years, I can attest that Zach’s character and leadership abilities are exactly what Wisconsin Rapids needs. These qualities are especially important now during times of crisis and multiple unknowns.

Having successfully solicited state government funding for Alexander Field upgrades and other infrastructure projects, Zach’s prior experience communicating with federal and state officials will be of paramount importance for business and the overall community during the coming days and months as we work through these times together.

Character-wise, Zach is also a natural leader who’s focused on doing the right thing while making tough decisions that must be made. From turning the shopping mall into a Boys and Girls Club, to keeping baseball and the Rapids Rafters here in Rapids, he’s backing up his word on reinvesting throughout the community, which will benefit us and future generations for years to come.

Zach himself was a young 15-year-old small business entrepreneur who has grown to understand the importance of bringing in companies like Matalco who are already offering a range of diverse and well paying jobs throughout the community.

Overall, Zach is truly helping to move our community forward in so many positive ways. I’m proud to call him a friend.

Rob McGrath
