WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Biron’s new Bridgewater development is providing numerous public recreation facilities for local enthusiasts.

Bridgewater, a collaboration between Classic Development Corp., Biron Licensee Group, Consolidated Water Power Company, the Village of Biron and Wood County, offers waterfront and water access properties on the Biron Flowage section of the Wisconsin River.

“Village of Biron municipal utilities (sanitary sewer and water), streets and other improvements were installed in 2018 and 2019,” recalled Keith Helmrick of Classic Development. “The relocated Wood County Highway U was opened in August of 2019 and the new Village of Biron streets in the development were opened in October, 2019.  The first phase of the subdivision, consisting of 48 single family lots, was opened in the fall of 2019.

At full build out, Bridgewater will offer 160 living units consisting of single family homes, zero lot line twin homes, and condominium living units.

“There are three primary types of properties available, waterfront with ownership of the shoreline and the ability to place a dock on the property, water view lots with an assigned dock on the river and off-water lots with an assigned dock on the river,” Helmrick added.

In addition, the development offers a variety of public recreation facilities, including: a multi-purpose recreational trail, with shore fishing sidings along the Wisconsin River; a new boat landing with a parking lot to accommodate 80 vehicles with boat trailers and 20 additional vehicles; two new restroom facilities; additional parking area; a village park; and boat slips.

Dock rental for this summer is available May 15 – Oct. 15 on a first come, first serve basis. For more information, call the village of Biron at 715-423-6580.
