April 15, 2020

Possible kidnapping

On April 15 at 11:24 a.m. a male reported that his ex-girlfriend, a 35-year-old female, had texted him claiming that she was being held captive in the basement of an Oak Street, Wisconsin Rapids residence by a 39-year-old male.

 

April 13, 2020

Obscenities lead to gun

On April 13 at 9:19 a.m. a male reported witnessing two males in a Honda van arguing while parked at the intersection of 13th Street and East Grand Avenue in Wisconsin Rapids. The complainant stated that after one of the males shouted obscenities at the other male, the latter proceeded to get out of the van, grabbed something out of the back seat, and pointed it at the other male. The complainant reported that the object appeared to be a gun.

 

April 12, 2020

Cute quarantine visit gone wrong

On April 12 at 1:36 p.m. an employee of a Wisconsin Rapids senior care facility reported that there was a male subject outside who was banging on the windows and demanding to speak to his mother. The complainant stated that in addition to banging on the windows, the male screamed at another female outside the facility.

 

April 11, 2020

Thrown stakes 

On April 11 at 11:04 a.m. a Wisconsin Rapids male reported that an unknown subject had thrown two stakes into the pool of his Marie Circle residence. The complainant stated that the incident had occurred on April 9 and that the stakes had torn the pool liner.

 

April 10, 2020

Mysterious burning smell

On April 10 at 5:49 p.m. a Wisconsin Rapids female reported that she and another individual had detected a burning smell that morning in her North 19th Avenue residence. The complainant stated that in response to the smell, the two unplugged everything in the living room and left it unplugged. Despite this, the burning smell only grew stronger, though they did not report seeing any smoke.
