Man arrested with large amount of meth while riding bike

WOOD COUNTY – A man has been arrested in Wisconsin Rapids for possessing a large amount of methamphetamine, while riding bike.
According to a Wood County Sheriff’s Department Facebook post, Deputy John Matthews attempted to make contact with a suspicious man riding a bike behind a school. When trying to make contact, the subject tried to flee.
Deputy Matthews was able to catch up to the subject who struggled and resisted.
The suspect did have warrants out for their arrest and was found with 57 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of $68,000.
The suspect’s name has not been released.
