Wisconsin Rapids Farmers Market to open June 4

By City Times staff
WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Farmers Market will open June 4, with a few new guidelines.
“We are making changes to our vendor placement and there will be extra precautionary measures to ensure physical distancing of 6 feet and that proper hygienic measures are in place to minimize risks,” said Mai Thao. “Due to the guidelines set before us, we are only approving food vendors at the moment. We ask that all their products are packaged as much as possible and no samples are allowed.
“When you come to the market, make sure to shop with your eyes as much as possible and refrain from touching the items. Please ask vendors to serve you and package the items you want to purchase in plastic/paper bag. Our vendors will do their very best to have at least two people in each booth – one handling the products and second person to handle the money.
“We ask our patrons to not open the packaged items they have purchased at the market while still shopping at the market. Eating at the market will not be allowed.
“Our arts and crafts vendors may be joining the market if guidance from the state allows and when we have a better picture of how COVID looks in our community over the coming weeks.
The market is open every Thursday and Saturday, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., until Oct. 31; but, will be closed for the July 4 holiday.
The market is located at 100-198 First Avenue South, between West Grand and Goggins Street, in Wisconsin Rapids.
Interested vendors should contact Thao at 715-421-8942 or [email protected].
