WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings’ third-year defenseman Zack Hartley has committed to Ohio University.

Hartley will join Riverking alumni Matt Server and Zack Curry in Athens, OH.

“Zack is a strong skating defenseman who is hard to play against in every zone,” Riverkings Coach Marty Quarters said. “Ohio will be getting a player that is ready to step in the lineup from day one, but just as important they will be getting an outstanding teammate who is great in the locker room and in the community.

“Zack came in as a young underage player and is leaving as a veteran leader. His hard work and maturity on and off the ice is what has led to this great opportunity.”
