Domtar postpones drawdown of Wisconsin River

NEKOOSA – Domtar says that it will postpone drawdown of the Wisconsin River.
The company announced in July that it would begin drawdown of the river above the Nekoosa Dam this month, to complete required repairs and maintenance to the structure.
“…due to project changes and additional requirements, the scheduled Nekoosa dam repair and Wisconsin River drawdown has been postponed,” the company said in an Aug. 13 release.
The project is now scheduled for next summer.
“Domtar will send a public notice approximately one month in advance of the beginning of the project,” the release said.
