Riverkings sweep Cougars

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings returned home after being on the road for two weeks and swept the Midwest East Division first place Chicago Cougars Oct. 30-31
Captain Cole Creger lead the way with three goals and one assist having a hand in every Riverkings goal during the weekend.
Other Riverkings had a helping hand in the scoring column as Luke Hartge, Jordan Stear, Nathan Bottles, and Trenton Skaggs also produced points.
Riley Allen helped by stopping 11 of 12 shots, giving him his fourth win of the season.
Saturday night Alex Smedley got his second win of the season stopping 14 of 15 shots.
The weekend sweep has the Riverkings sitting in first place of the Midwest West Division with a record of 9-2-1.
