For the City Times

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Feeding Our Communities with United Services (FOCUS) is partnering with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, Valley Cooperative Association, and the USDA on two additional free food box distributions.

There will be two additional mobile food pantries on Nov. 24 and Dec. 8, 10 a.m. – noon.

The location has changed to the Wisconsin Rapids City Garage at 1411 Chase St., Wisconsin Rapids. Participants are asked to enter the distribution area off of Clark Street via 16th or 17th Avenues.

The food boxes will contain produce, meat, and dairy items. Anyone who wishes to participate in the distribution is asked to come starting at 10 a.m. to allow volunteers to set-up for the distribution. To help prevent traffic congestion, arriving after 10:30 a.m. is recommended.
These food boxes are paid for by the USDA. Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin worked with Valley Cooperative Association to provide this healthy food directly to high-need areas free of charge. Quantities are limited and will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis; no pre-registration necessary. Distribution will be limited to one box per vehicle, unless the party is also picking up for a home-bound individual.
