Hannah Center kicks off campaign for Wisconsin Rapids expansion
For the City Times
WOOD COUNTY – The Hannah Center Inc. is officially kicking off a yearlong capital campaign for The Hannah Center Wisconsin Rapids expansion project.
The Hannah Centers Wisconsin Rapids Advisory Committee is working to secure funds necessary to open a second location in Wisconsin Rapids to serve more women and children in crisis. The Hannah Center has existed in Marshfield for over 25 years.
“The Hannah Center has demonstrated such a great success in serving women and children in crisis through programming that it was determined a second location is needed to serve central Wisconsin in ending the cycles of chronic poverty, homelessness, addiction and abuse for a wider impact in our community,” a center release stated.
“Designed to benefit women and children in the community, the advisory committee will raise $1,000,000. This amount will encompass the cost of purchasing and renovating a home to fit The Hannah Center’s needs; as well as five years of operating costs as The Hannah Center builds relationships and fundraising events unique to the Wisconsin Rapids community.
“During this year long capital campaign, The Hannah Center Wisconsin Rapids Advisory Committee will seek to build partnerships with community companies, organizations, churches, businesses, individuals, and families alike. The advisory committee will host community fundraising events where you can learn more about The Hannah Center and the expansion project.”
