WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The city of Wisconsin Rapids may see a new Starbucks coffee shop.

During a Jan. 4 meeting of the city of Wisconsin Rapids Planning Commission, city leaders approved a site plan from Alliance Development for a 2,400 square foot facility at 1810-30 Eighth Street South

The plans would require the removal of the current building and the construction of a coffee shop with a drive through. The two existing driveways on Eighth Street would be consolidated into one and a second driveway on Seventh Street South would be implemented.

Once operational, the location will staff 20-30 full- or part-time employees.
