Governor seeks applicants for Wood County coroner; Brehm resigns

MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers announced on May 7 that he is seeking applicants for appointment as coroner in Wood County.

The appointment will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Scott Brehm, effective May 15.

The new coroner will complete a term through Jan. 1, 2023.

Application materials must be received no later than May 20 at 5 p.m. For more information about the position, contact Wood County.

Interested applicants must submit an online application with a cover letter detailing professional and academic qualifications, civic activities, and community involvement. The application can be found on the “Apply to Serve” page on Gov. Evers’ website at: www.evers.wi.gov.
