One dead in Wood County UTV accident

WOOD COUNTY – A south Wood County woman is dead, after the UTV she was a passenger on went into a ditch and rolled over. The crash occurred shortly before 1 a.m. on July 4, on Ranger Road near Squirrel Trail in the town of Saratoga.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, a utility terrain vehicle driven by 27-year-old Kurtis Wosick of Wisconsin Rapids was going west on Ranger Road, when he lost control of the vehicle, and it rolled into the south ditch near Squirrel Trail. Wosick was transported to Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, where he is listed in stable condition. His passenger, 22-year-old Brianna Ginter of Wisconsin Rapids, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is currently being investigated by the Wood County Sheriff’s Department and the DNR.
