Three injured in Saratoga accident

WOOD COUNTY – Three people were injured when a car collided with a motorcycle.
The crash occurred on Aug. 4, just before 3 p.m., at County Highway Z and Highway 73
in the Wood County town of Saratoga.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, a car driven by 72-year-old Leanne Kolo of Nekoosa turned from Highway Z onto westbound Highway 73, and into the path of a motorcycle, occupied by 58-year-old Richard Houchin and his passenger, 58-year-old Lori Houchin, both of Nekoosa.
All three individuals were taken to nearby hospitals with injuries.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department, Nekoosa Police and Fire Departments, Nekoosa Ambulance, Saratoga First Responders, Port Edwards police, Wood County Sheriff’s Rescue, and Spirit Medical Transport.
Highway 73 was shut down for approximately 30 minutes after the crash occurred.
