LHS Athletic Hall of Fame ceremony to honor 2020-21 inductees

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School will host their 2021 LHS Athletic Hall of Fame Induction ceremony on Oct. 8 at 6:15 pm, prior to the varsity football game between Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids, honoring inductees, Margaret Ho and Vince Biegel.

Margaret Ho, a 2007 graduate, excelled as a two sport athlete during her time at Lincoln High School.  Margaret lettered in cross country and soccer four times.

She helped lead her soccer team to two all conference championships in 2006 and 2007. Margaret was also a Wisconsin Valley individual champion for cross county in 2005 and 2006. She was awarded the Wisconsin Cross Country Coaches Association “All State Team Honorable Mention” in 2007.

continued her cross country career at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire.

In recent years, Margaret  has continued to give back to the running community by serving on the board of the River City Running Club since 2018.

Vince Biegel, a 2012 graduate, was an all-around athlete. He not only lettered in football and track four times, but also in hockey three times.

He led the football team to two Wisconsin Valley champions including the 2011 State championship runner up.  As a track and field athlete, he was the 2009 and 2010 High Hurdle Wisconsin Valley Conference Champion both indoor and outdoor.

As a senior, Vince was awarded several honors including: four star recruit, U.S. Army All American, and USA today and Parade All American. He was also named All Conference and Wisconsin player of the year.

After high school, Vince played for the University of Wisconsin Badgers, where he set a record for playing in 54 games. He was also part of the “winningest senior class” in badger history. In 2014, he was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the week.

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in life science, communication, Vince was drafted to the NFL by the Green Bay Packers. He played for the New Orleans Saints and is currently with the Miami Dolphins.

On Oct. 8, the school was also honor the 2020 Red Raider Hall of Fame class of Jim Fitzgerald, Brent Friday, and Becca Weiland, whose ceremony was cancelled last year due to the COVID environment, A reception will follow after the game at The Ridges Golf Course.
