Wisconsin Rapids indoor winter market continues

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The historic Hamm building on First Street North is the site of a new indoor winter market. The Wisconsin Rapids Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, along with the Wood County Health Department worked together to make the Saturday market possible. Organizers said it is an opportunity to showcase local farmers, artisans and creators and at the same time promoting shopping local.
“We are happy to continue the tradition started by the Wisconsin Rapids Downtown Farmers Market and provide a place for consumers interested in supporting local producers,” said Meredith Kleker, VisitWisRapids executive director.
There will be familiar vendors, as well as some new. Items include baked and canned goods, fresh greens, apples, honey, and handcrafted items.
The market is located at the former Local on 1st space, 160 First Street North. It will be open 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays through Dec. 18 and then again Jan. 8-April 30, 2022.
Interested vendors with locally-produced products can call 715-422-4650 for information and an application.
