Riverkings go 2-1 on the weekend

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings went 2-1, Dec. 10-11 at the South Wood County Recreation Center, after defeating the Dells Ducks (5-1) and splitting with the Minnesota Mullets in a win (5-1) and loss (3-1).
This weekend all three of the Riverking goalies made appearance. Carson Mielnik stopped 13 of 14 shots versus the Ducks, Riley Allen stopped 23 of 24 shots against the Mullets Friday night and Ethan Blackburn stopped 24 of 26 shots.
One of the youngest player in the league, Dante Siciliano, had a standout weekend as he tallied his first junior hockey hat trick with three goals.
The point leaders for the Riverkings through 24 games are: Jordan Stear (27), Ben Pizzimenti (24), Jeff Rebmann (24), Grant Newcomer (22), and Reece McDonald (20).
Halfway through the season, the Riverkings are currently first place in the division with a record of 17-4-3.
