Rapids Wards 14, 15, 16 polling relocated

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – On Dec. 21, the Wisconsin Rapids City Council unanimously approved a resolution that will relocate the polling places for the city’s Wards 14, 15, and 16.

“The reason why I am proposing this is that Centralia Center is small and East Junior High is very big, so it is quite congested, especially when we do a general election at Centralia Center. It is very cramped in there. Wards 14, 15, and 16 are District 5, which are all on the east side of the river. So, it makes sense that they would vote on the east side to alleviate some of that congestion at Centralia,” said Rapids City Clerk Jennifer Gossick.

With the passing of the resolution, Wards 14, 15, and 16 polling will move from the Centralia Center to East Junior High School, 311 Lincoln St., Wisconsin Rapids.

Polling for Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 will be held at the Centralia Center, 220 Third Ave. South, Wisconsin Rapids.  The polling place for Wards 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27 will be located at East Junior High School, 311 Lincoln St., Wisconsin Rapids.
