Alexander House celebrates Youth Art Month

PORT EDWARDS – Youth Art Month is being celebrated by the Alexander House through March.
The show will highlight artwork from the Port Edwards Public School District students in grades K-12 and will feature the “Glow Room.”
The young artists are the students of Natasha Grawey.
An opening reception will be held Feb. 27, 1-4 p.m. The exhibit will continue through April 5.
Youth Art Month is recognized and celebrated in the state by the Wisconsin Art Education Association and throughout the United States by the National Art Education Association. It is a month of promoting art and art education in the United States for grades K – 12 and emphasizes the value of art education.
Each year the Alexander House supports Youth Art Month with a show of student work.
The Alexander House is open Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, 1-4 p.m., and is located at 1131 Wisconsin River Drive in Port Edwards. For more information, visit http://alexanderhouseonline.org.
