TOWN OF ROME – Emily Zeddies will be joining the town of Rome as its new zoning administrator.
Zeddies will oversee building, zoning, and conditional use permits, along with serving as the staff liaison for the Plan Commission and Board of Appeals. She replaces Greg Broniec, who retired in January.
Zeddies has a bachelor of science in natural resource management, with an emphasis in land use planning from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She is currently pursuing a masters of public administration. She completed her undergraduate Capstone Project working cooperatively with area municipalities on the Portage County Highway R redesign, and she has been a research intern and assistant with the UW-Madison Research Station and field leader the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust.
“The town is excited to have Emily join us. Emily’s land use management education and experience, along with enthusiasm for zoning regulations and enforcement made her a great fit for the position,” said town administrator, Jami Gebert.
She started with the town on March 7.
