FOR CITY TIMES

NEKOOSA – Due to construction on WIS 73, a portion of a multi-use trail that spans the Wisconsin River in Nekoosa will be closed from Monday, Sept. 19 to Friday, Sept. 23 and again from Monday, Sept. 26 to Wednesday, Sept. 28. The trail will be open Saturday, Sept. 24 and Sunday, Sept. 25.

Crews will be repaving the asphalt and replacing the guardrail on WIS 73 on the south end of the bridge. The bridge will be open to vehicular traffic with only the trail being closed.

Construction is scheduled to be completed Wednesday, Sept. 28. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
