WIS 173 railroad project wraps up for season in Nekoosa

NEKOOSA — The railroad crossing on WIS 173 (Market Street) in Nekoosa opened Friday, Oct. 14. A temporary asphalt surface has been installed to allow traffic to cross the tracks during the winter months.
Crews will return Spring 2023 to install a permanent concrete surface for the railroad crossing. Market Street is anticipated to close in the spring for approximately two weeks. Traffic will be detoured via WIS 80 and WIS 54.
