FOR CITY TIMES

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — A Meet and Greet with candidates for public office will be offered on Wednesday, March 22, at McMillan Memorial Library in Wisconsin Rapids. The event will be in the All-Purpose room on the first floor.

McMillan Memorial Library, along with members of the Wisconsin Rapids Area League of Women Voters, is hosting the event, and all candidates are invited and plan to attend. Each will be seated at an individual table and voters will rotate between the candidates with their questions.

Candidates for Wisconsin Rapids School Board will be available from 5-6 p.m. They are: Mike Derrie, Christopher D. Inda, John Krings (incumbent) and Kathi Stebbins-Hintz.

Candidates for Wisconsin Rapids City Council will be available from 6-7 p.m. They are:

District 1 – Ryan Austin and Keith L. Hetzel

District 3 – Matt Zacher (incumbent) and William D. Hascall

District 5 – Sheri Evenson (incumbent) and Jake J. Cattanach

District 7 – Patrick J. Delaney (incumbent) unopposed

Wood County Branch 4 Circuit Court candidates Craig Lambert and Tim  Gebert will be available from 7 to 8 p.m. Branch 4 Circuit Court was recently established by Governor Tony Evers.

“We are hosting the Meet and Greet to give voters an opportunity to meet the candidates. In the process, we hope the voters will be better able to make an informed decision on who they want to serve on the Wisconsin Rapids School Board, City Council and Branch 4,” said Mary Dahm, chairman of the Voters Service Committee for the League.

Refreshments will be provided.
