WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The 58th Annual Wisconsin State Water Ski Show Championships presented by Bank First will thrill spectators from July 18-21 at Red Sands Beach, Lake Wazeecha in Wisconsin Rapids. 

The Wisconsin State Water Ski Show Championships stands as the largest and longest running water ski show tournament globally. Hosted by the Wisconsin Rapids Aqua Skiers since its inception, this four-day extravaganza showcases 23 of Wisconsin’s premier water ski show teams and 72 individual competitors, all aiming for the coveted State Title and a shot at the National Water Ski Show Championships. 

The action-packed event commences with individual performances on day one, featuring swivel, swivel pairs, freestyle jumping, team jumping, and doubles, each routine capped at five minutes. The subsequent three days are a whirlwind of team competitions, where teams dazzle crowds with themed performances under the Wisconsin sun. Spectacular displays include human pyramids, barefooting, jump acts, swivel skiing, and lively stage entertainment, all adorned in vibrant costumes. 

Beyond the thrilling competitions, attendees can enjoy a variety of family-friendly attractions. The event grounds boast concessions, diverse vendors, a welcoming beer garden, and exclusive tournament apparel, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy. 

“This weekend is not just about competition; it’s about community,” remarked Jordan Moon, Tournament Co-Director. “It’s heartening to witness thousands flocking to Lake Wazeecha and supporting local businesses. The tournament has a profound economic impact, generating over $3.7 million for the area and filling hotels throughout Wisconsin Rapids and Plover.” 

Adding to the excitement, Visit Central Florida will livestream the entire tournament globally, building on last year’s success with over 148,450 views worldwide.
