Aspirus Announces Men’s and Women’s Cancer Support Group Dates

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Men’s Cancer Support Group will meet Tuesday, May 8, and the Women’s Cancer Support Group will meet Monday, May 14. Both meetings will take place from 5:15 to 6:15 pm in the Aspirus Riverview Hospital Lower Level Conference Center, 410 Dewey Street, Wisconsin Rapids.
The Men’s Cancer Support Group meeting will feature “Genetic Testing: How It Can Change Your Medical Care,” presented by Rachel Hoyord, MS, Aspirus Genetic Counselor.
The Women’s Cancer Support Group meeting will feature “Don’t Waste Your Cancer,” presented by Dr. Richelle Hoekstra-Anderson, Clinical Psychologist & Life Coach.
The support groups are open to all women and men who are battling or surviving any type of cancer. Meetings are free, no registration is needed, and support persons are welcome. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, please call Aspirus UW Cancer Center at 715-421-7442.
