By Joe Bachman
A Wisconsin Rapids man has been arrested on multiple drug charges while out on bail.
According to reports, on Jan. 20, a vehicle was spotted in the cemetery after dark, which is a city ordinance violation. Police followed the vehicle to the 1700 block of Smith St. where contact was made with the driver.
The driver, identified as 39-year-old Vincent Breezee, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and was soon taken into custody. Officers searched Breezee and found a plastic case containing a baggie with marijuana and methamphetamine inside. Also discovered in a separate gem bag was a substance that tested positive for cocaine.
Breezee was currently out on bail for prior charges of methamphetamine possession and marijuana possession with intent to sell. If convicted, Breezee faces an additional 16 years and six months imprisonment and up to $30,000 in fines.
His next court date is scheduled for Feb. 1.
