Former Alderperson Honored by Council

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Alderperson James Stack was honored by the council last night after many years of service.
Stack did not run for re-election in April, leaving the door open for his replacement; Thaddeus Kubisiak. Stack served as council president, and last night was his last before a brief recess for Kubisiak to take his official seat.
“You meet some good people, try to solve a few problems — some you can and some you can’t,” said Stack. “So Mr. Kubisiak — enjoy.”
Stack was awarded a special plaque by the Mayor for his service to the community.
“It’s been an honor to serve with him all this time — many times we’ve come to some agreement, but we never came to blows,” said Alderperson Tom Rayome. “Thank you for all the years of service.”
