Important Agenda Items on Common Council Docket

Every month, residents are encouraged to take part in their local government through city meetings.
Tomorrow marks the November common council meeting, which will feature a few notable items on the agenda. There will be a public hearing held on the 2017 city budget, including ordinances for new speed limits on Wisconsin Rapids streets, a newly appointed ethics board member, and a special presentation of colors by the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department Honor Guard.
Tuesday will also include the reading of the Mayor’s monthly report, and a resolution to adopt a tax levy with the 2017 city budget.
Common council will be in session starting at 6:00 p.m. at city hall inside the council chambers. City hall is located at 444 W. Grand Ave.
