WISCONSIN RAPIDS – On June 12, Mid-State Technical College hosted its largest fundraiser of the year – the annual Foundation Golf Outing. Sixty-eight golfers on 17 teams teed-off at SentryWorld Golf Course for a circus-themed round of 18 holes and a great cause. The event netted $8,000 in proceeds to help fund approximately 20 different scholarships for students.
“I am consistently impressed by the overwhelming support our community partners continue to show at our annual golf outing,” said Jill Steckbauer, director of Mid-State’s Foundation & Alumni. “It’s gratifying that so many individuals and businesses choose to invest in the future of central Wisconsin by helping our students achieve their educational goals.”
During the event Mid-State president Dr. Shelly Mondeik greeted teams at the scenic flower hole to show her gratitude on behalf of the college.
