Riverkings Spotlight: Kyle Smith, ‘Road to Heritage Classic’ Video
By Joe Bachman
WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Riverkings staff have praised a Lincoln High School student for his community involvement.
Defenseman Kyle Smith played a full schedule for the Riverkings last season in their successful division-winning run. Smith is going into his senior year at Lincoln High next year, and according to Head Coach Marty Quarters, the Broomfield, Col. native has been making an impact by putting in countless hours in volunteer work for the Riverkings.
“Kyle prides himself on always working his hardest at whatever task is in front of him and takes pride in representing the Riverkings in a positive light,” said Quarters. “This is apparent by being named employee of the month in just his first month working at Jimmy Johns.”
A new video has been released by the United States Premier Hockey League chronicling the Riverkings successful win in the Heritage Classic last season over the Chicago Cougars. You can check out part one of three below.
