WISCONSIN RAPIDS --- October is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.
Each October, memorial services are held to remember the babies who die each year through pregnancy loss, stillbirth and newborn death. Attended by parents, families, friends and health care professionals across the United States, these memorials symbolically unite those who have experienced a loss and those who care for them.
This year, our area’sIn Our Hearts Forever Memorialwill beSaturday, Oct. 14, beginning at10 AMin Aspirus Riverview Hospital’s Lower Level Conference Center, 410 Dewey Street, Wisconsin Rapids. Please enter through the hospital’s main entrance on the east side of the building.
There will be a brief service to honor all of our babies, light refreshments, and an optional visit to the Aspirus Riverview Hospital memorial site at Forest Hill Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids. Flowers and mementos are welcome at the memorial site.
TheIn Our Hearts Forever Memorialprovides an opportunity for families who have experienced a loss to heal and bond with other families. Anyone who has experienced a pregnancy or infant loss is invited to attend, regardless of when your loss occurred. Family members, friends and children are also welcome. No registration is needed.
