Assumption led by just one point at halftime and were able to extend their lead by five in the second half.

Barneveld got it within two points late in the second half before Assumption went four-for-four on free throws — by Addi Vollert and Sarah Shaw — to secure the game 34-30.

Assumption (29-1) was led by Jordyn Jaglinski, who scored a game-high 13 points, including three key three-pointers.

Sarah Shaw contributed six points, while Anna Schooley added five points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
