Cultural Center class turns styrofoam to a planter

RAPIDS -- With the right tools and acrylic paints, you can create something that looks so much like the real thing, you will be amazed.

Artist Denise Larson will show you how torepurpose a styrofoam coolerto look like a beautiful cement planter. Coolers/planters measure approximately 14" x 12" and are durable for planting yet lightweight enough for moving around your garden, yard, or patio. The styrofoam acts as insulation for roots over the winter and helps keepplants moist during the hot summer.
