MARSHFIELD – Voters in three Wood County school districts had their say in who will direct those districts in the coming year, with one incumbent losing his seat.
Dana Duncan was defeated in a three-way race for two open seats on the Port Edwards School Board, earning 433 votes. The vote tallies for the other candidates – incumbent Kathy McGrath and newcomer Krystal Sievers – were 791 and 449, respectively.
Meanwhile, Marshfield will see one new face – Dan Griesbach – while welcoming back incumbent Cathy Gorst. The seat Griesbach will occupy opened up when Dale Yakaites decided not to seek reelection.

Wisconsin Rapids also saw some of its members stepping down. Julie Timm did not seek another term on the board; Jaime Sparkes will now take her place after claiming more than 6,000 votes. Incumbent Troy Bier maintains his position after defeating two other challengers.
