RUDOLPH – Lincoln High School (LHS) graduate, Erin Whipple, took first place in her weight class to bring home the gold from the 17thAnnualIPF/NAPF Powerlifting Championships, held in San Jose, Costa Rica, Aug. 5-10.
Whipple, of Rudolph, lifted a total of 382.5 kg in deadlift, squat, and bench press.
International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) is a premier global powerlifting federation committed to drug-free high standard powerlifting competition.North American Powerlifting Federation (NAPF)’s goal is to bring together drug-free regional powerlifting in North America and Caribbean nations.
Erin was invited to participate in the championships by placing at 2019 USA Powerlifting High School National Championships held in Alexandria, LA, March 28-31.She also set a new world deadlift record at the World Association Benchers and Dead Lifters competition in Wisconsin Dells, April 27.
Erin is a 2019 LHS graduate and will be attending UW-River Falls in the fall, where she plans to continue powerlifting in the Barbell Club.
