Local youth wrestlers place at WWF state tournament

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Multiple local youth wrestlers placed in Wisconsin Wrestling Federation Kids Folkstyle State Championships competition, held March 22-23 at Alliant Energy Center in Madison.

Wisconsin Rapids and Nekoosa wrestlers landing in the top 10 include: Boys Born 2010-11 – 60, sixth, Aspen Tritz of Wisconsin Rapids; Boys Born 2008-09 – 60, fifth, Deegan Armagost of Wisconsin Rapids; Boys Born 2008-09 – 90, fourth, Jacob Bertling of Nekoosa; Boys Born 2006-07 – 85, sixth, Carter Freeman of Wisconsin Rapids; Boys Born 2006-07 – 100, fourth, Kailar Tritz of Wisconsin Rapids; Boys Born 2006-07 – 210, first, Joseph Bertling of Nekoosa and fifth, Tanner Gormanson of Wisconsin Rapids; Boys Born 2004-05 – 120, third, Brett Back of Wisconsin Rapids; and Girls Born 2006-07 – 70, fifth, Amiya Leverance of Nekoosa.
